The Renaissance Troupe ... the weekend the Troops went to the Theatre 29 -
31
October 2010
Home Fires Players will launch its 2011 Season with a Bus Trip to the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival. We wanted to encourage people to get excited about the
Theatre Arts and hopefully join our Theatre Company and be part of the upcoming
season of events.
We have networked with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival to package an incredible bus
trip from Friday 29 October to Sunday 31 October 2010. The Trip is called
The Renaissance Troupe, and it's open to EVERYONE.
The Road Trip will take us to downtown Toronto and there will be time for some
serious shopping.
There are events and things for the kids in the household as well. And we
offer very special prices on their theatre show tickets. There were a few age
restrictions for children attending shows to avoid disturbing the other patrons,
however, if child care is needed - then we had a list of qualified care givers
in the area to accommodate everyone's needs.
There were some interesting Side Trips lined up and an excellent array of interesting
programs. There is an Amish Tour available and that means picking up some
good home made baking and household gifts. There are Guided Walking Tours
with local Tour Guides available to show people around the historic paths of the
City.
One event that is sure to delight is the Tea Tasting Class (extra
cost $25) put on by a certified
Tea Sommelier,
Karen Hartwick, the proprietor of Tea Leaves. All this and more for a truly remarkable experience that includes an exquisite array of
teas that were expertly brewed for sampling.
There are also many Arts and Crafts exhibits going on at the same time as the
City of Stratford is a bust Arts community.
