Moosettes on the Loose ... the weekend the Women went to the Theatre 16 - 18
October 2009
Home Fires Players launched its 2010 Season with a Bus Trip to the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival. We wanted to encourage people to get excited about the
Theatre Arts and hopefully join our Theatre Company and be part of the upcoming
season of events.
We networked with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival to package an incredible bus
trip from Friday 16 October to Sunday 18 October 2009. The Trip was called
Moosettes on the Loose, but it was actually open to EVERYONE. It just seemed
fair to say that while the Men got to go Moose Hunting around this time - they should
be the ones to buy a Trip Package for their partner before they got away!!
Ladies doesn't that seem right to you that you should be able to enjoy yourself
and have just as much fun?
The Trip down was to have featured mini manicures and mini pedicures, as well as
makeup lessons and much more provided by
The
Healing Room and Wellness Spa. However, at the last minute the plans were
changed for important family matters. It was a great Road Trip with lots to do as
we travelled on down the road. And on the way back home we stopped in TORONTO
for some serious Mall Shopping.
There were events and things for the kids in the household as well. And we
offered very special prices on their theatre show tickets. There were a few age
restrictions for children attending shows to avoid disturbing the other patrons,
however, if child care was needed - then we had a list of qualified care givers
in the area to accommodate everyone's needs.
There were some interesting Side Trips lined up and an excellent array of interesting
programs. There was an Amish Tour available and that meant picking up some
good home made baking and household gifts. There were Guided Walking Tours
with local Tour Guides available to show people around the historic pats of the
City. One event that was a delight was the Tea Tasting Class put on by a certified
Tea
Sommelier,
Karen Hartwick, the proprietor of Tea Leaves. All this and more was included in
the cost for this truly remarkable experience that included an exquisite array of
teas that were expertly brewed for sampling.
There were also many Arts and Crafts exhibits going on at the same time as the City
of Stratford celebrated the Gadsden Antique Show which rans from 10:00am to 5:00pm
on the Saturday.
